Here are some positions we are currently looking to fill: Health and Safety CoordinatorPosted: August 09, 2010 As the Health and Safety Coordinator, you will have the responsibility to assist in the Corporation's Health and Safety programs and policies, ensuring regulatory compliance and helping to build the companys safety culture. Key Activities Support an industry leading safety culture by promoting safety in the workplace; Assist in the development and administration of the Health and Safety program; Job Site Inspection and review of tool box talk minutes; Attend joint health and safety committee meetings; Audit various Safety & Health programs; i.e. MSDS, safety training, etc; Assist in the re-write of the Occupational Safety & Health Manual; Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers; Construction Sector Specific WSIB Certified Member WSIB/WCB claim management; Site recording using digital pictures; Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Computer and Microsoft Office experience required; Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) an asset; Demonstrated judgment and problem-solving ability and effective decision-making skills; Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; Flexibility in travel.
